Validation of hypothesis through Desk and Secondary Research

I’ve first made a questionnaire based on the research and conducted interviews. I’ve got some insights and feedback from them which I converted into pain points and opportunities

And then I ideated as follows with Experience Mapping and HMWs.

As I audit, I looked at the flow through these lenses. Adding positive/negative pysche mapping notes accordingly.

Also did the following and presented some of the iterations on the start of the case study

I had to converge going very micro and prioritise where the user starts off the journey.

After doing so, I had to make changes to the onboarding. Further, I’d like to add more and more iterations for the stuff written in the future scope.

1. Removing Open Ended Questions from Onboarding as much as possible

2. Giving an option to choose a journey path instead of choosing a user type.

Interactive tiktok format to learn and save vocabulary&nbsp;(Assuming a hypothesis limited to a number to avoid doom scrolling)

Using the Hooked Model&nbsp;in an ethical manner for learning.

User gets curious ➞ User opens the video ➞ User invests time ➞ User gets rewarded unexpectedly through learning words as he needs that they can save to their library.

Repetition of lessons to be decreased further

Occasional flash card screens&nbsp;as a variable reward

which give new words and micro-tips as a variable reward after achieving something

Engaging notifications to avoid Banner Blindness

Improved onboarding by reducing open-ended questions

Balanced learning approach between spacing effect and urgency

These improvements are all about making the app more helpful and enjoyable for travelers, helping them learn essential phrases quickly and effectively.

This case study shows the journey of me catering to travellers who find something very important — connecting with other travellers and finding authentic cultural experiences and, improving conversion rates from browsing to booking for the business.

A high conversion rate indicates users are finding value in the app and ultimately using it to fulfill their desire for authentic cultural experiences. This translates directly to increased revenue and business growth.
